Sommelier of Memories: Pairing Life's Moments with the Perfect Dish

Every day, we open the doors at Chez Rosa wondering what stories will unfold around our tables.
We think about the nervousness of a first date, the group of friends who have been trying to find a day when everyone is free, the family gathering to celebrating another year, and the people that simply decided that the weekend was a good enough reason to treat themselves.
Because every table has a story of its own, we believe certain moments have dishes that seem to belong to them. Just like wine has its perfect pairing!

For the birthday celebrations.

For these tables, we’d choose our Lobster Bucatini. Made with Maine’s Lobster and available as part of our seasonal menu. 
It’s the kind of dish that feels like an occasion in itself: indulgent, unexpected and around for a short time each year.

For the friends who finally found a date that works

You know the dinner that’s been in the group chat for weeks (or months).
Start with a glass of rosé on the patio, then add a Cheese Fondue to the middle of the table. Something to share while everyone catches up, tells the stories they missed, and decides whether they’re ordering individually or putting everything in the center for the whole table to enjoy.
Sometimes the best part of dinner is having everyone there.

For the first date

First dates come with their own kind of excitement.
We’d start with a handcrafted cocktail or mocktail, something to sip while the nerves settle and the conversation finds its rhythm. It’s also a perfect excuse to try something you might not normally order.
The Steak Tartare Crostini for the table. Just enough to share while you wait for dinner and discover whether this might be the beginning of a new story.

For no special occasion at all.

Sometimes, the occasion is being together.
A weekend, a beautiful evening, a good week or the simple decision to let someone else take care of dinner for a change.
So, if you are celebrating life just because you can, DO NOT SKIP DESSERT.
Our Creme Brulee has earned its place on the menu year-round and has become one of our community’s favorites. Some things change with the seasons and some become part of the Chez Rosa story.
